Beaver Falls, PA - Ingenuware, Ltd. released a new version of their free, Internet enabled
chess game today, called "I-Chess". The new version will
be accompanied by a marketing campaign focused on the benefits of using
their flagship development tools product, ImpulseStudio, which this new
version of I-Chess was re-written with. Ingenuware hopes to achieve higher general
market recognition for ImpulseStudio as a result of this move. "As
a tools vendor, we need to provide great examples of what our
development products can do, and I-Chess accomplishes just that.
Also, the tools
vendor role [Ingenuware's current role] deals with a substantially
smaller market than the general software and [software] gaming
industries... we also want to position ourselves more generally so we can
easily branch out into other software areas, with recognition from
previous products, such as I-Chess, already
carrying us part of the way.", said Ingenuware's President, Robert
Ryniak.
Ingenuware's free chess game,
"I-Chess", was developed using Visual Basic, the world's most
widely used programming language for the Windows platform. I-Chess
was built also using Ingenuware's own ImpulseStudio Visual Basic add-in
product. The company hopes I-Chess will serve as an example for
developers of what can be achieved with their flagship product.
I-Chess will be available for download from Ingenuware's own web site (http://www.ingenuware.com/downloads),
as well as through C-Net's Download.com
web mega-site.
